2007 Hair Styles - Top Stylists Share The Hot, Sexy Styles To Wear This Year

With any new year comes change. All around us we’ll soon see the latest trends in fashion, beauty and styles. We talked with expert hairstylists from top salons from the East Coast to the West Coast and in between too to get the top 2007 hair styles. Jonathon, a top hairstylist from the TV show Blow Out says, "your hair will make you or break you. Your hair can make you look like a super star and this is what I strive for with every client." Each stylist had plenty to say and gave away oodles of pointers and great tips.

Here are the four hottest and sexiest hair styles of 2007 and beyond.

THE SHORT BUSINESS CUT

Even though shaggy styles, pixies and bobs have suddenly become popular thanks to the celebrity world, shorter styles are certainly no stranger to 2007 latest hair trends and work very well for the business world. For ideas check out leading business women like Hillary Rodham Clinton or even the First Lady. Celebrities like Halle Berry and Ellen Degeneres are also wearing this short trendy hairstyle.

What makes this cut so popular is it requires very little effort to keep it in place or redo it on a windy day. Look for this short style to get shorter and 'messier' as we move through 2007, almost to a punk look - slightly longer on top and almost zero by the time we reach the ears and back. As women's role in society and the business world increase look for her hairstyle to get more serious to - possibly even styled and very tight similar in part to current male hairstyles.

THE SHAGGY "JUST SEXED" LOOK

This style is beginning to appear more and more on reality and other popular shows as well as on many celebrities. It's longer than the cut above and is styled to look messy, punkish and sexy all at once. One stylist shared with us to keep this looking great don't wash your hair too often. Dirty hair maintains natural oils and moisture and looks much better with this cut.

Other stylist recommended using gels and other hair products to keep this cut styled and shaped into that "just sexed" look. Wash your hair the night before and wait til it's dry before applying any products. In the morning you may need to do a little work to keep this style looking good. This is a very under rated style that will become hotter as we head into 2007.

LONG, SEXY WAVES

As mentioned before perms and chemicals of any sort are out this year, but here's another tip from a top stylist in New York - spritz hair with salt water and let it dry for a natural wavy look without the chemical damage. Get your hair damp and use the salt water to bring out the wavy curls. Salt spray will do amazing things to your hair. Everyone's hair has some natural waves and patterns and this will bring this out and intensify it.

This style is very hot, just look at the sexy ladies who wear it, Jessica Alba and Shakira. So try spritzing or spraying a little salt water on already damp hair, scrunch it and then let it air dry. Scrunching it while it is wet will give it volume and randomness. Since most hair has some sort of natural wave, the salt spray will bring it out.

Remember too, just as in the above hairstyle, don't wash this style everyday as dirty hair is easier to manage.

THE SIDE PART

The side part is another popular hair trend. Think punk verses classic Twiggy for this style. For an idea of how this style looks, check out celebrities, Meg Ryan and Kirsten Dunst. You'll see it in your fav salon soon enough. It's so popular that a $500 or $600 price tag for this cut is the norm in the trendier areas of the country. It's a classic and trendy, high fashion style that looks best with a rock or punk variation to it.

West cost celebrity hairstylist Sally Hershberger helped start this style and called her version of it the Twiggy Punk. This style will continue to become very popular throughout 2007 and some new variants will probably emerge as the year goes on.

Simplicity and good styling is the key with all four of these hot hairstyles and cuts and there are many variants of each with punk or more conservative touches. Remember that the above styles will probably sport several variations, so you don’t have to stick with just one simple style. Find one what suits you.

To help, do a search online for your favorite celebrity to see what she’s wearing. To borrow on what the top salons and stylists are doing, check out a hairstyling picture website on the internet. Most will let you upload a picture of yourself and "try on" 100's of hairstyles. Some of the better sites will even let you rotate your head and see what the style will look like from all angles - in 3D. These sites are becoming very popular and normally keep up to date with the latest hair styles and celebrity do's.
